Storm Shelter

In July 2011, Ideal Homes of Griffin added in-ground storm shelters to our list of product offerings. It was a product that we had considered for several years. After the destructive April 2011 tornados that hit our area, we knew this was a product whose time had come.

The shelter we offer is fiberglass, will not rot, is water proof, has a 20 year warranty and the design meets or exceeds FEMA guidelines.  Under most installations, this shelter can be installed in three to four hours.
